Every visit begins with a conversation and a scan, not a syringe. Dr. Bui reviews your goals and history, then performs an ultrasound assessment of the areas you want treated — including any filler already present from previous providers. You'll see your own anatomy on screen and understand exactly what's being recommended and why. Treatment follows only when the plan is clear: product, placement, and depth chosen from what the imaging actually shows. Most appointments are complete within an hour, and because placement is confirmed rather than estimated, touch-up visits are the exception rather than the routine. Does ultrasound guidance make the appointment longer?
Only slightly — mapping typically adds a few minutes. Most patients find watching their own anatomy on screen to be the most reassuring part of the visit.
Can you look at filler I got somewhere else?
Yes. An ultrasound assessment can show where previous filler sits, how much remains, and whether it has migrated — the more history you can share about past treatments, the more complete the picture.
Why don't most med spas use ultrasound?
